Gulmarg is a beautiful hill station in the Baramula district of Jammu and Kashmir, which is also known as the land of flowers. Gulmarg, situated at an altitude of about 2730 meters, was discovered by the British in 1927. It is said that earlier Gulmarg’s real name was Gaurimarg which was given to it by the shepherds here.
