HIGHLIGHTS

  • Patnitop or Patni Top is a beautiful hill station located at a distance of about 45 Kms from the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. This place was originally known as 'Patan Da Talab' which means 'Princess's Pond'. According to a legend, the princess used to use this pond daily for bathing.
  • The dense deodar forests, winding hills, breathtaking views and serene surroundings make Patnitop an ideal picnic spot. There are three fresh water springs in this area which are the original sources of cold water. The water of these springs has medicinal properties and you can visit them if you have time.

Day 01: Jammu – Katra

Arrival at Jammu airport / railway station. Pick-up and transfer to Katra, base camp for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji. Check-in & overnight stay at Katra. Or you can proceed for the darshan via trek (13 Kms, one way).

Day 02: Mata Ji Darshan

Day will be engaged for trekking of Shri Mata Viashno Devi shrine, which is around 13 Kms (one way) and at an altitude of an around 6000 Ft. (at Bhairo baba) from the sea level. It takes 4 – 5 hrs to reach the height and 3 – 4 hrs to be back to the town.

Day 03: Katra – Patnitop

Today we will head towards the famous hilltop, originally called as “Patan da Talab”. Patan da Talab or Patnitop (current name) is situated at an altitude of 2024 mtrs from sea level. Enveloped by thickly wooded forests, Patnitop offers beautiful picnic spots, peaceful walks and breathtaking views of the of the Chenab basin. Walk around in the meadow and will visit the famous and unique temple dedicated to the Snake lord and made like the Pagodas. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04: Patnitop – Jammu

Check-out from the hotel and transfer to Jammu and check-in. Jammu is also known by another name so called as “The City of Temples”. You will be taken through old and historic lanes of Jammu old city, where you can treasure memories for the lifetime. In the evening, visit famous Raghunath ji Temple and Bazaar. The Temple is the largest temples complex in North India. It contains representatives of almost the entire Hindu pantheon. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05: Jammu Local Sightseeing

After having breakfast, This day you will be taken for the Bahu Fort and Garden Areas. Pay obedience at Bawe Wali Mata Temple, which is inside the 3000 yrs old Bahu fort. Later Visit, the Asia’s biggest Underground Aquarium and Bhag-e-Bahu, the Royal Gardens. Visit, Mahamaya Temple and forest area. This temple was names after Maharani Mahamaya who died protecting motherland from invaders. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06: Mansar Lake Excursion

After having breakfast proceed for the day excursion to Mansar Lake. Overnight stay at hotel in Jammu.

Day 07: Departure

After having breakfast, check-out from the hotel and you will be transferred to Jammu airport / railway station for your onward journey.
